Farmville The Game – Starting Out With Farmville

Farmville the game is probably one of the most popular online games played. I have seen several different numbers but it appears to have around 75,000,000 players online.  It is available for free to all users of facebook and it can become a very addictive game to enjoy playing.

The basic concept of Farmville is the idea that you run an online farm and try to develop and improve the farm by growing crops and feeding your animals. You start out with a little money, known as ‘Farm Cash’, and a small farm. You make money by growing crops and as you get more money and experience points, known as XP, you can grow more types of crops as you progress through the game.

Farm Cash, enables you to buy more animals and crops to plant but you need to gain experience points to move up through the different levels. Rising through the many different levels allows you to choose from a bigger variety of crops to grow. New levels also open up new opportunities to build structures for storage and to get other buildings to develop a more sophisticated farm.

There is also another currency in the game. FV cash, or Farmville cash, is in very short supply. You start out with a little and you get a tiny bit more as you advance through the levels. It is valuable and should not be spent without careful consideration. You can use real money to buy more FV cash and this is clearly the main way the publishers of the game make money. There are opportunities throughout the game to spend these valuable FV cash points but once spent they are gone and there are some occasions later in the game where you will wish you had saved them for a better purpose.

So that is a brief introduction to the game of Farmville. It is a fun and addictive game and it can leave you worrying that you need to get online to harvest your crops before they wither and die. If you are not careful you may find your life ruled by the need to maintain your Farmville farm but with a bit of experience you will learn to plant the crops that grow in the time to suit so you can be at your computer to harvest them when they are ready.
